IDA Offerings
How can Inner Dynamic Athletics assist you to
enhance your Emotional Intelligence?
IDA works with individual athletes, teams, coaches, master athletes and non athletes.
The process is totally customizable to maximize our efforts.
4 Session Introductory Series
IFS informed Emotional Intelligence workshops consists of 4, 75-90 minute workshops, one for each branch of EI. Available for everyone.

Session 1: Perceiving emotion. How to become aware that Parts are reacting, at your inner control panel, as opposed to True Self.
Session 2: True Self basics. Facilitating thought using emotion and enabling True Self to be the leader of your Parts. Learn the 8 C’s, the characteristics of True Self inside everyone.
Session 3: Understanding emotion. Learn to recognize why a Part is reacting.
Session 4: Managing emotion in self and others – Learn to recognize when someone else has a Part at the control panel instead of True Self, and how to formulate a productive response when that happens. Practice interpersonal and intrapersonal communication at the same time.
Athlete/Individual Sessions
Starts with the 4 session EI series, but tailored to individual athlete’s needs. Continues with sessions which address the athlete’s concerns, working with emotions that may be constraints to optimal performance.
Team Sessions
A 12 session series for sports teams, includes interactive activities. In-person.
Pre-season, off-season, also available 8 pre-season sessions and 4 post-game sessions. Can be tailored to the need of the team.

Sessions 1 through 4 are introductory… the basics. Session 5 through 10 will become more tailored to the team’s and athletes needs, specific topics or issues can be discussed. The last two sessions wrap up the coaching and remind players of the tools they have to practice to improve EI on their own.
Session 1: Getting to know each other — “ Thinking in terms of different ‘parts’ of my personality.” (become aware of how parts manifest as emotions, and result in behavior/action)
Session 2: My “Self” as my inner resource: the 8 C’s
(become aware of True Self)
Session 3: My Sport and protective parts of my personality
(become aware of protector parts, and their role)
Session 4: My Sport and vulnerable parts of my personality
(become aware of protected parts and why they exist)
Session 5: Can a relationship with my “Self” help my athletic performance?
(become aware of how True Self can guide actions and behavior, and how that is beneficial)
Session 6: What is scary about self-compassion when one is on a sports team?
(Become aware of challenges that might be encountered)
Session 7: Moving out of fear: the meaning of “Self” leadership.
(Become aware of what it means to have actions and behaviors lead by True Self)
Session 8: Identifying inner conflict and bringing calm, compassion, and curiosity.
(Become aware of how to address inner challenges)
Session 9: Listening to my body/listening to my parts: What’s needed?
(Self-awareness, intra-personal skills)
Session 10: Being with, not in, my emotional states: Speaking for, not from, my “parts”
(become aware of what it sounds like when parts, as opposed to True Self, lead actions and behavior, and how to let True Self take the lead, interpersonal communication)
Session 11: Vital needs, self-care, and my health
(Awareness of ancillary components of performance)
Session 12: Closure with each other and the way forward. (Interpersonal skill awareness)
Sessions for Coaches

Master Athletes
Improves your EI, gain awareness of emotions which my be constraints to optimal performance and learn methods to release constraints on them. Learn how your parts can have productive responses instead of counterproductive reactions.
EI Sessions for Non-Athletes
Enhance your EI in the workplace and life space. Use enhanced EI to improve civility, professionalism and interpersonal communications in all walks of life. Need a different mindset for a transition in life? Retirement? Perimenopause/Postmenopause?
